GPRA looks forward to welcoming new RACGP President Dr Michael Wright.

Dr Wright brings extensive experience in general practice to the role, and an understanding of the pressures the Australian primary health care sector is experiencing.

We are grateful for Dr Wright’s advocacy for our General Practice and Rural Generalist Registrar members during his campaign, and we are excited to be part of ongoing collaboration with RACGP, and other stakeholders into the future.

Our members are the future General Practice workforce, and therefore we have invaluable insights to share with medical stakeholders such as RACGP regarding the future GP workforce, GP education and training system, and employment conditions.

We offer our congratulations to Dr Wright, and to all the other candidates for their individual voices during the election campaign.
