To celebrate International Women's Day 2019, we feature stories from female GP registrars and GPs discussing their journeys and the issues which matter to them in general practice.

The theme for this year's International Women's Day (IWD) is Balance for Better. This means building a gender-balanced world. You can read more about the theme here on the IWD campaign website.

As around 61% of GP registrars on the AGPT program are female, we are proud to celebrate their contributions to a bright future of general practice in Australia. GPRA, however, recognises there is more that can be done to ensure balance in general practice, and across all medical specialties.

In the meantime, we celebrate the unique and wonderful stories told by the female GPs and GP registrars from this year's edition of GP Registrar.
