ANSWER

The Study Leave Payment is an additional incentive payment for eligible GP registrars of up to 5 days per training year, to study for and attend exams, and attend professional development activities.

Registrars must:

  • Be enrolled in the AGPT program and have commenced GP training
  • Not be already entitled to paid study leave (or equivalent) through their employer
  • Not be undertaking an extension assessment, awaiting fellowship or awaiting examination terms

Registrars who are undertaking an Academic Post as part of their GP training program are also entitled to access the study leave incentive as long as they are not already eligible for a payment via their University employer.

You can apply for study leave payments by completing a leave application form and declaration via the TMS document library, or via liaising with your Training Coordinator.
