Registrars or Principal House Officers (Rural Reliever)

A Principal House Officer/Registrar is a medical practitioner in the third or subsequent year of practical experience after eligibility for full registration as a medical practitioner and may or not be enrolled in a recognised training program working towards a recognised Fellowship.

  • To participate in the provision, development and maintenance of an effective, efficient and equitable clinical service to the hospital patients.
  • To contribute to the continual upgrading of medical education, and dissemination of knowledge to staff and patients.

An exciting opportunity is currently available for an experienced Registrar or Principal House Officer (Rural Reliever) to join the Rural Medical Service at the Eidsvold, Biggenden, Mundubbera Multipurpose Health Services, Gayndah, Monto Health Services and Gin Gin Hospital within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. The Health Service stretches from Agnes Water in the North to Maryborough in the South and provides acute care services to a population of over 200,000 residents including several rural communities.

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $157,823 p.a., comprising salary between $116,316 – $134,861 p.a. (L4-L9), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%), annual leave loading (17.5%) and vocational training subsidy, (Temporary Full Time, 76 hours p.f., for an initial period of twelve months depending on involvement in a training pathway and option for extension).
