GPRMEN provides a “free space” for discussion about career planning, employment, further qualifications, research, medical education up-skilling and resources.
GPRMEN seeks to raise awareness of, and interest in, medical education as it is recognised as a factor associated with career longevity and satisfaction. Some of the current discussions include:
- Formal medical educator career pathway
- The role and current “landscape” of GP registrar medical educators
- Research in medical education/registrar medical education
- Contributing to examination preparation activities
The current Chair of GPRMEN, Lisa Fraser is standing down and this creates a great opportunity for somebody to develop their leadership and communications skills. It will provide a valuable opportunity to develop resources and create and manage projects.
