President's Message

26 March 2026

Dear GPRA Members,

It’s been a busy period for our members, and I want to share a few important updates and reminders of the support available through GPRA.

The review of the National Terms and Conditions for the Employment of GP Registrars (NTCER) is now in its final stages, and this is your last opportunity to provide feedback. The NTCER sets out your minimum employment conditions – including access to payslips and transparency around your remuneration – and must be used for AGPT registrars. If you haven’t already, I encourage you to have your say and review the current conditions via our FAQs.

To everyone who sat exams earlier this month – well done. We know this is a significant milestone, and whether you’re celebrating a pass or preparing for your next attempt, please remember that GPRA is here to support you. I encourage you to take advantage of our upcoming Exam Preparation Series and the range of support available to members.

I’m also pleased to announce the launch of the 2026 AMH/GPRA National Awards  in partnership with the Australian Medicines Handbook. These new awards recognise excellence in the quality use of medicines across the training pathway, with applications now open and closing 30 June 2026.

Finally, a reminder to make the most of your GPRA membership, including access to exclusive discounts, clinical resources, and ongoing support throughout your training. Learn more.

Thank you for your ongoing engagement with GPRA and for the important work you do every day in communities across Australia.

Until next time,

Dr Chris Dickie
GPRA President
