Review of the NTCER - call for submissions
SHARE YOUR VIEWS
Last month GPRA and GPSA announced a review of the National Terms and Conditions for Employment (NTCER).
In August, both organisations commenced surveying our members on the current National Terms and Conditions for Employment (NTCER), and are currently establishing member working groups to assist with the future updating of the NTCER. These groups will also help assess the results of our member and stakeholder views.
Given the evolving operating environment, GPRA and GPSA believe it is timely that we review the NTCER.
We want to provide all stakeholders with an opportunity to input into the review on the NTCER and submit solutions for future models of employment for GPs in training.
NEXT STEPS
We want to hear about your experiences with the NTCER, what a future NTCER needs to take into consideration and what “other” practical aspects need to be in place at ground level to ensure both practices and registrars have a positive employment experience while undertaking training.
As part of this review, we are encouraging all GP education and training sector stakeholders, other interested parties and members to provide responses to inform the review of the NTCER and future employment models for general practice.
Submissions will not be published publicly but their contents will be reviewed to inform briefings to the GPRA and GPSA NTCER working groups and other relevant Advisory Groups.
Online submissions, responding to the key questions are due by 1st September 2022.
Submissions are now closed
