GPRA will support GP registrars affected by RACGP exam technical issues
The President of General Practice Registrars Australia (GPRA), Dr Melanie Smith today encouraged registrars to submit a report to the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) if technical issues with the RACGP Applied Knowledge Test (AKT) and Key Feature Problem (KFP) exams affected them over the weekend.
“GPRA notes with concern that technical issues with the AKT and KPF exams have caused distress for a number of registrars,” said Dr Smith.
“We are aware that, particularly in Cairns, there were significant delays for registrars sitting the exams.“
“We have been advised by the RACGP that all candidates whose exam performance was affected by the technical issues should submit an RACGP ‘incident report’. “
Dr Smith said that candidates normally have two business days to submit an incident report but the deadline for submissions for this been extended to Friday 8pm AEST 20 July 2018.
“GPRA will continue to be there to support GP registrars with any difficulties which they may encounter during their training or employment — we encourage GP registrars to contact us if they need support,” she said.
