Final Report for GPSN Schwartz First Wave Pilot

The First Wave Scholarship Program offers an opportunity for medical students in their first or second year to experience General Practice under the guidance of a dedicated General Practice Preceptor. Students are offered the chance to undertake a Clinical Scholarship or an Academic Scholarship.

A pilot of the program was conducted in 2008 in collaboration with the University of Melbourne, the University of Notre Dame Sydney and the University of Western Australia; the program will be expanded to include a greater number of Universities in 2009.

Click here to view the Final Report from the pilot program which indicates that the first year was a huge success. We look forward to a big year for the program in 2009.
